Ms. Costea has more than 25 years of experience in legal professions, from 1994 to 2004 as a public prosecutor in Romania, and subsequently as an attorney-at-law in Switzerland and Romania: from 2006 to 2015 in a law firm in Winterthur, from 2015 to 2019 as a partner in a law firm in Zurich, and since January 2020 as a partner at Internationale Rechtsanwälte Zürich. Since 2004, she has also operated her own law office in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Ms. Costea has achieved significant successes before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, as legal representative of a renowned Swiss pharmaceutical company based in Basel, in several company formations involving real estate acquisitions between Romania and Switzerland, as well as in highly complex inheritance proceedings between Switzerland and Romania.

Ms. Costea represents Swiss and Romanian clients before all courts and authorities, both in Switzerland and in Romania.

With her doctoral dissertation entitled “EU Acquis relating to Freedom of Movement”, Ms. Costea was awarded the doctoral degree in 2020.
